Kitchen Hand – The Ballarat Yacht Club Café

Love working in a fast paced, friendly waterfront environment? The Ballarat Yacht Club Café is on the lookout for a reliable and positive Kitchen Hand to join our team.

This role is primarily focused on dishwashing and keeping our kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes. You will play a key part in supporting our chefs and front of house team by ensuring all crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment are cleaned and ready for service.

What you’ll be doing:

• Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and wash up area

• Assisting with basic food prep as required

• Taking rubbish and recycling out as needed

• Supporting the team during busy service periods

What we’re looking for:

• A strong work ethic and good attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Reliability and punctuality

• A positive attitude and team first mindset

• Weekend availability, along with weekday shifts as required

Hospitality experience is great but not essential. We are happy to train the right person who is eager to learn and be part of a supportive team.
